The genesis of our  journey began on April 27th, 1984 during the closing session of the Washington Annual Conference, held at Turner Memorial AME Church. At that time, Bishop John Hurst Adams read the pastoral appointment of Reverend Dr. Lois Ann Poag Ray to the Rockville and Gaithersburg areas.

With competent leadership, direction and persistence, founder Rev. Poag Ray ministered, guided and shepherded us from 1984-1993. It was during this timeframe that the Birth of a Miracle occurred.
